I also make jewelry and like yours natural materials and stones as much as possible however I don't usually have problems using dyed stones. When it comes to my workings I prefer all natural un-dyed stones. I do have a couple dyed stones and think that since they are actually natural but are just colored they are still perfectly okay to use for spells, rituals or whatever. Like you said though I would used a dyed stone in one of my oils where someone might put it on themselves. I agree people shouldn't warn others away from dyed stones but to me that sort of falls into the category of people shouldn't really be telling others how to practice and what is right for them in the first place.

I really enjoyed your take on the issue of fake, or altered crystals. My concern with people saying that you shouldn't use a particular crystal because it altered or the like also has to do with cost. Lets face it there are a lot of witches and pagans out there, sometimes myself included, that maybe can not afford to get a higher quality crystal, but can afford for example a dyed agate. Also who is to say that a particular practitioner would rather work with the symbolism of color versus the actual properties of a stone. I once met a practitioner that worked specifically with glass stones, like the kind you find in flower vases. She had even created a divination tool with these. I think if you personally do not like to work with altered or so called, "fake" crystals then that is your prerogative, but don't ruin another persons practice or belief in order to match your own. As for myself I try and stay as natural as I can, but I am flexible. Thanks for a great video. Blessings.

Loved your take on so called fake stones and tools. At the end of the day an agate with dye added is still an agate. Kitty wanted to be heard. LOL Blessings…
